Dr. Smith versus The ROBOT

Post by aTOMiC »

I ran across this post in another forum and thought it was entertaining.
Even if you aren't a fan of Lost In Space you probably know how often Dr. Smith took the opportunity to insult the Robot.

Image

Since "Lost in Space" has come up a couple of times in recent weeks, I thought I'd repost this. I've lost the name of the site this was posted on originally, and it appears to no longer be online anyway. (If anyone knows it, I'll add the link!)

That said........here is an alphabetical list of *every* insult Dr. Smith ever gave the Robot!

Each was usually preceded by "Why you...." and followed by "Save me,
William!"

I can see him saying that too!

I looked up "John Barley corn" because I had no idea what it meant:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Barleycorn

I thought it was interesting and accurate for Dr Smith to call the Robot that.

After reading that wikipedia entry I'm up to speed on "John Barley Corn" though I can't ever remember Smith using that phrase. To be fair I haven't consistently watched the program in about 20 years or so. I have a few select episodes on dvd/vhs but certainly not the entire series.
As I watch episodes on cable I'll be listening for JBC. :-)

Then try here. Or more specifically here (although it is just two seasons).

And he kicked ass on Babylon 5.

Not only could the robot defeat Dr. Smith, but, given three day's preparation, he could also kick Batman's butt.

No, I'd have to say that the Batman would be safe. Dr. Smith OTOH.......
