I am truly saddened. "Carlin at Carnegie" did much to shape my sense of humor, as well as my sense of apprieciation for his talent and worldview.

His comedy routines were great - and designed to make us thimk!

He will be missed.

I enjoyed a few of his shows when he had a resurgence in the late 90s. I was pretty shocked when I heard the announcement on Coast to Coast AM.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

I'll never forget meat-cake (still pops up in our banter) and the empty plate bit.

And this one from Class Clown, regarding lunchtime humor ...

"One time, Michael Davey passed an entire cheese sandwich through his nose. Sister Anunciado thought it was a miracle."

Sitting here alone, laughing hysterically. Somewhere, George is smiling.

Totally agree. Jack and I even talk about how we need a bigger place for our stuff so we can get more stuff!

In the Bush 1/Clinton race I actually wrote in George Carlin. I wasn't a joke, I meant it.

He was such a genius. I will miss him.
