Broken Lizard

Although I havent been crazy about all of their films, these guys are funny! I laughed so hard during Super Troopers I thought I was gonna throw up. Club Dread was just OK, but I liked Beerfest as well, and I look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

I saw Super Troopers and recognized that these are not the comedians I was looking for.

I thought Super Troopers was funny. Beerfest was hilarious. But that's coming from a beer geek. I loved when they brewed their own recipe, and tasted it for the first time. One of the guys says that it's so good he wishes he could freeze it and skate on it in the winter and then thaw it out in the spring to drink. Man I love beer. I'm glad they actually captured this rapturous joy on film. www.youtube.com/watch?v=70Ak4nW1Rg8

Super Troopers had its moments. I didn't see Beerfest. I thought Club Dread was pretty funny. Any movie that takes some jabs at Jimmy Buffet is ok in my book. Bill Paxton did a great job as Coconut Pete. There were some pretty funny death scenes--playing around with lots of horror movie cliches. Good stuff.

Super Troopers is nothing short of inspired brilliance.

Club Dread works well as both satire and horror, and is wholly unappreciated.

Beerfest was a waste of time except for the segment about the lost evening with what was thought to be a hot chick.
