We're extending the deadline a bit to give everyone the long Labor Day weekend to finish up their stories. (I know I could use the extra time).
It's not a big extention but I believe it will be pretty helpful.

Nah. Always set your deadlines arbitrarily, a week or two ahead of the drop-dead date. Then when people ask for an extension, you can be magnanimous and still not be screwed.

Just submitted my submission. I've been working on a story for months and as the deadling approached I knew there was no way I would finish it even if I had all of September to do it. Another idea popped into my head today and I manged to get 'er done just now. What a relief.
