No suprises that Geelong, Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs are the top 3, but then there's daylight between St. Kilda, Adelaide, Kangaroos, Sydney and Collingwood.
So this weekend,
Geelong v St. Kilda, Hawthorn v W. Bulldogs
Adelaide v. Collingwood, Kangaroos v Sydney.
Will anyone be able to stop the Cats' run at Back-to back flags? The only team to have beat them so far this season is Collingwood, and they will be eliminated if they lose to Adelaide. Now that Lance Franklin's kicked 100 goals for the season for Hawthorn, is that going to excite the team enough to have them challenge the other top - 4 teams?

Ok! We have some Results!
In the 1st Prelim. Final Hawthorn demolished the Western Bulldogs, so the Hawks get next week off and have a spot in the Quarter Finals. Now the Bulldogs have to play this weekend and if they lose they are eliminated!
In the 1st Elim, Collingwood suprised many by beating the home side, Adelaide. This means that the aspirations of the only side to beat Geelong this season progresses to the next round and Adelaide are eliminated.
And in the 2nd Elimination final, Sydney, the home team had a strong win over the North Melbourne Kangaroos. The 'Roos fought the match out really well in the wet conditions of the first half and had a 10 point lead, but when it dried out the skills of the Swans were on display and ended up winning by 35 pts.
Today's 2nd Prlelim is yet to be played, but if the results go as expected (a big Geelong win) next week the matches will be:
Western Bulldogs v. Sydney (MCG)
St. Kilda v. Collingwood (MCG)
