Stylez' Poems

Post by Stylez1877 »

The Pen I grasp excoriates skin
Thorns protruding through raw flesh
Yet I must release the sleep within
As soul and pain will fade and mesh

Musing pierced by mendacious screams
My Mind’s eye cannot see the sooth
I smell the stench of burning dreams,
To extinguish the flame set ablaze the truth.

Anguish subsides, wails wane to whisper,
As anodyne heals fleshless hurt.
The thorns I grip begin to wither,
As all that lives transcends to dirt.

-------------------

We ascend the throne of despite
Where lies and loathing eschew right
I cannot endure this bloody night
Be assured that peace is fleeting.

For many lives are lost for naught
As Kent State student’s limbs are shot
Our future damned to writhe and rot
Be assured that peace is fleeting.

Now our lives become obscured
Our present path is much abhorred
He slaughters and says “for the Lord”
Be assured that peace is fleeting.

--------------

Hope you all enjoyed them both. They may not be gramatically perfect but I am a beginner at poetry writing.
