"Written and directed by Red Dwarf co-creator Doug Naylor, Red Dwarf: Back to Earth will begin filming on Monday 16th February. Over the Easter Weekend 4 brand new episodes will air – the 2 episodes of Red Dwarf: Back to Earth will be followed by Red Dwarf: Unplugged which will deliver the cast of Red Dwarf as they’ve never been seen before – no sets, no effects… and no cue cards. The weekend will climax with Red Dwarf: the Making of Back to Earth, a behind the scenes special from the new production."

Nice :D

Just heard about this myself. If it actually happens, it'll probably be the most watched thing on British TV in years. But can it possibly live up to the expectation?

Hmm. I thought series eight was pretty dire, so I'm going to be tough to convince.

Yeah, series eight didn't agree with me either, at first. But it does have it's moments. Like this one.

Depends what you expected ;)

I was expecting nothing better than an average episode from one of the latter (not so good) series.
That's kinda what we got I reckon.

I enjoyed it a lot but only because it was good to see the old gang back together. The story was a bit dodge...

Makes me want to watch it from the begining again now :D

They didn't have enough story for three episodes. The first, nothing much happened, it would've been the first ten minutes or so of a regular episode. The second wandered a bit and didn't do the self-referential humour so well. The latter half of the third part was good, though. The first two parts didn't have an ending, they just stopped, it wasn't very satisfying seeing the credits roll up and hearing the theme song.

I think taking their two-parter and turning it into three because of the loss of the Unplugged episode may have been the problem.
