Syfy and Warehouse 13

Post by [Syl] »

First, that's a strange name change. Makes it that much easier to call 'em SlyFi. Ahh, the Farscape days.

Anyway, anyone catch Warehouse 13? Just saw the pilot on Hulu. It looks watchable. Kind of like X-files meets Eureka. I'd say it has a good chance of being canceled, but I said that about Eureka. So far, I've been fortunately wrong on that count.

I'm not sure the female lead will grow on me. Has a big Linden Avery vibe going.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I liked it enough to watch another episode or two. But I'm not sure if I like it enough to watch it long-term. I agree with you about the female lead. I think the watchability of this show for me depends on whether or not she grows on me :)

Warehouse 13 got picked up for a second season. I'm kind of surprised by the ratings it's getting. It's not bad, but it's really not that good. Not yet, anyway.

It's a nice filler for summer - but I'm surprised it got picked up as well. I have watched all the episodes so far, and they aren't *bad*, but they aren't really stellar either :)
