Anybody ever see this film? It is amazingly creepy and really well done.

Michael Laemie (played by Brian Madorsky) is a young boy living in a typical 1950's suburbanite home... except for his bizarre and horrific nightmares, and continued unease around his parents. Especially his father, Nick Laemie (played by Randy Quaid). Young Michael begins to suspect his parents are cooking more than just hamburgers on the grill outside, but has trouble explaining his fears to his new-found friend Sheila, or the school's social worker. Sandy Dennis' last film.
The loudest truth I ever heard was the softest sound.

I have seen it, though I don't remember it with any particular fondness. But I don't remember hating it either.

Yah... it is delightfully weird and disturbing. It has a curious pase to it. It is certainly not mainstream cinema.

My favourite lines:

Boy: "What are we having for dinner, mom?"
Mom: "Leftovers."
Boy thinks a bit then asks, "But what were they before they were leftovers?"
Mom: "Leftovers-to-be."
