Ultimate Team-up?

Post by Mr. Broken »

Just to keep it simple, Ill limit it to teams of two, which two authors would you most like to see co-write an epic story? I would like to see one from Gaiman, and Rowling.

A.A.Attanasio and Elizabeth Hand

edit:read her bio on ElizabethHand.com and felt uncomfortable about making fun of her name. There's something similair in both styles above I think could really work, giving the chance. Sorry to anyone who found the post offensive.

With it being Christmas, I imagined Clive Barker sitting in his study writing stories. In the chair opposite was the silvery ghost of Enid Blyton - kinda like the movie, The Others.

but then, you haven't met my kids

My wife just gave me a copy of "Fragile Things", a collection of short stories by Gaiman, but if you would like to get some small insight into his writing check out the movie "Coraline", or the movie "Stardust", both were very well done.

First, an obvious pairing: Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams.

Next, hopefully a less obvious one: Mervyn Peake and Dan Simmons. I think it'd be interesting to see how Simmons' already dark and occasionally nightmarish work would be affected by the influence of Peake's sinister and surreal vision.

or Mervyn Peake and JRR Tolkien...

Mervyn Peake going to work on making the characters in Middle Earth more grotesque, and JRR Tolkien adding wizardry to Gormenghast.
