Was that a poem? I like how you used emoticons in the actual poetry. Perhaps, good sir, we could combine our poetic powers. You could send me some lines, then I send you the lines back done my style, then you chop them up more, until we have a beautiful conceptual dish?

slave

/a metal catharsis to
my current paralysis/

my mouth is full of
teeth – broken, caustic.
a kitten, a real pole-
axe. (bless me) sedge
the river-banks, dredge
my bones – tank the fire.
(fake your souvenirs…)
the flowers of our
founding fathers; flew
over flag-draped coffin
nails. (smoke ‘em) radio
singing sweet, low mantras;
humming static free-form.
jazz transparencies. But oh,
that black dress. fun-house
mirrors (a better phrase.)
dog-eared summer (a perfect
phase.) stacking wooden
blocks, causes and distant
past glories. plastic spirals
(spin counter-intuitive.)
useless indirection and her
modesty left unattended.
count to three – minus – one.
But oh, that black dress.
- oh, that black dress…

I love that idea  - if Sgt.Null is keen, perhaps you can add your flavour to the 1st poem as an experiment?

Lungs (Little Anne)

blue, green, aquamarine…
I am the king of
lowered expectations –
in aggressive pursuit of
mediocrity, oddity, obscurity.
watching quietly while at
the ready to average…
destitute Amish mimes are
set to explode. /found fury/
camping out on weed
entangled lots. sounding
off in a sudden frenzy
of white noise. (black
light) – a fine grey day.
with two checkered gloves;
you scrape, burrow and
borrow new trigger points.
new math prodigies now
counting to three for the
journeymen and henchmen.
conspired wireless machines
are now all set aglow…

charcoal filter and gun
bluing. rendered ammonia.
the wide patrol keep
fill with ice. so go and dust
your under-carriage now.
they are for leaving and
have yet quit themselves.
but she has lost her
definition…. this is my
get ugly. not bad of you.
shall we bury your old
rust mattress under the
front porch? goggles, face
masks, plastic aprons,
one pair – rubber boots.
a cul-de-sac awaits you and
your next heart attack.
join our pixie stick binges
and candy cigarette burns…
how many weeks until
next? Harold of the
bells comes-a- calling.

we clabber along in
close pursuit and in
closed custody. we are
escorting garbage bins.
the caribou horns are
sharp and they slash
you and they cut you
to sticks and stones.
so steel your mortar
base-boards and all
cellar dwellers. spend
drift at thrift stores…
Jack and Jill moved out
to Beverly Hills just
for the money orders.
I do not understand
your philosophy. the
bell is rarely sounded.
henchmen vs. journeymen
- you be the judge! at
last we are all held fast.
blue, green, aquamarine.

Hoofbeats

Seward's Folly
and the Fosbury Flop
in the act of gone
Lazy Susan spinning
infinite eights
Black Eyed Susan
at the Haymarket Bombing
all blame me

buzzsaw in my head
it's a piss-poor
slop jar at
my door, the
tanks are overfilled
the mule is dead
so says the hitman,

Judas Gloves and
his Wilco Suit
take a walk in
nancy's Boots
sock puppet holds
a socket wrench
Colonel Mustard
in a lead pipe cinch

/don't think zebras
- think horses/

Indigo Bunting

12 Gauge Recoil
main has strike plate
to the office. (door)
they will bore it anew
and try to reset it at
some point... (thank you)

Post-It Note Symphony
it is an ugly thing
- this thing / empty
threat of a broken
promise... the grey
wash of early morning
rain. words fall
hollow. echo through
the empty distances.

No One Gets To Panama
wooden steps - half an hour
away. change that after
the war. wooden trees -
half a mile away. bankteller,
root cellar, corner store.
not sure what gaffers are
for - want to leave this world
before. Joe Strummer
strums, Humbuckers hum, long -
haired hippies drum-circles,
lines and segments. Indigo
Bunting, decapitation blues.
tenpin nickle plating, copper
plated shoes - two sizes too
small for cobblers at the
mall. (go for a walk)

Admist Magnetic Margins
in the meadows
a pat on the back
for your adjustment.
to height, sublimate
common needs anew.

Semper Fi -
and chicken bones!

stork needed crane
no weak sister -
chemo, chemo

uneven lines - a denial of

amongst a deafening roar...
check all the unchecked stories
restore the natural order of
kings, psychopomps and river
guides, condensed cans of
soured milk - stacked, restacked.

this is an ending...
a page - yellow dog rage
let your figures do the
walking, stalking in
free four phases (five
negative digits) or six
degrees of desperation.
emoticons and automatons.
this Pilgrim's Regress...
tower mobile, unguarded
stallion. (full bird is the
word) a wild blue ponder.
salt the wounds of
ambulence chasers mired
outside shotgun shacks.

uneven lines - a denial of
purpose, content, situation.
clues amongst the petty
bogs/ am/pm fm/am - hall
way monitors amongst a
deafening roar... check all
unchecked stories - restore
the natural order of kings,
psychopomps and river guides.
(guarding rivers) condensed
cans of soured cherrystones.
stacked, restacked (attack
off-duty slarymen) met our
quota for this quarter... or half?
/free karaoke lessons are free/
distortion or extortion? either-
pull the plug. add the added
time (time out) to an already idle
take of rumor, so an unproven
concept. weed-eaters and flower
pots, an axe will mark the spot.
(you can always try remover...)
venomous sweets - so pretty, your
lean. a matter of the freeze...

antiquarian ironmongers

drop needle slight crackle,
hums. swamp rooted in
static - a swell montage,
grey monotone. a shimmer,
a jangle. delayed repeat...
runs deep echoes, relay -
reverb. plod and stumble.
pale monotone, mumbles
halfsteps, stutters. deeper
than shallow hollow rudiments.
empty words, phrases, clauses.
grey monotone - soap box
derbies. random poetry
generator. polliwogs, whirl-a-gigs.
salt cellars, pepper-boxes...
pale momotone. magnesium bursts -
slight wobble - curious rag and
bone men. golliwogs. sorrow fills
the dredge over by the sledge...
deep in the woods, hoax / joke.
squibs / bolts. chimney sweeps,
asleep but still not dreaming...
pale monotone - hushed response.
