Impressive. Back in the day (when dinosaurs still roamed the earth and I was Beorn's age) I could leg press about 750 lbs, but I was doing a lot of cycling on steep mountain roads back then.

Pretty good, but ya gotta go all the way down. ;) My grandfather did that much weight twice (all the way down). Burst about every blood vessel in his face, but it was worth the badass points.

I've done 750 about 12 times. But it's been a few years. I might make 1,000 a future goal. I've always been naturally strong on my legs without even trying, and freakishly strong when I work at it.

But Hyperception says there is a whole regimen for "static contraction" training.
