I'm just asking the question. What do you think?

Heh...my first thought was of "Life During Wartime" This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin around.Relayer wrote:"And you may tell yourself,DrPaul wrote:Perhaps it was a consequence of coming across the Chronicles in the early 1980s, but I've always had this mental image of Covenant as being a bit like David Byrne from Talking Heads.

Really more that he looked like Byrne in my mental image, although without the Big Suit. How Byrne would behave in the Land is an interesting question ((perhaps performing "Burning Down the House" during a Ritual of Desecration?)Vraith wrote:Heh...my first thought was of "Life During Wartime" This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin around.Relayer wrote:"And you may tell yourself,DrPaul wrote:Perhaps it was a consequence of coming across the Chronicles in the early 1980s, but I've always had this mental image of Covenant as being a bit like David Byrne from Talking Heads.

But I gotta ask: Dr.P: he LOOKS like Byrne? Or behaves like him?

Almost, but actually, it would be perfect for Trell, Mhoram and the Close, IMHO.DrPaul wrote:DrPaul wrote:Really more that he looked like Byrne in my mental image, although without the Big Suit. I was actually thinking of Soaring Woodhelven for that...DrPaul wrote:(perhaps performing "Burning Down the House" during a Ritual of Desecration?)
Heh...you just slapped and denigrated a whole bunch of people, even a whole bunch of Watchers...ninjaboy wrote:I can't reconcile Thomas Covenant with an American.. I know that he lives there, but I prefer to think of him as someone I like and respect.
Seems like a lot of people think so. I mean, look at who people want to play the part of Thomas Covenant in a movie! None other then a British guy (Hugh Laurie) who can do an American accent if he has to.ninjaboy wrote:I can't reconcile Thomas Covenant with an American..
