T2. Of course, I haven't seen T3 yet, but it's hard to imagine it being as good as T2....

The most enteraining and complete vision offered so far has to have been T2. With a larger budget T1 might have been much better. T1 is a masterpiece in its own way. Watching the cops banter is priceless. "I put a cigarette out in that an hour ago." AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!

Lance Henriksen is quite good, but then he often is although his characters are usually a little more sinister.

T1! Definitely T1 for me

I just find T2 a bit vacuous and lacking the sinister..ness....of T1

i gotta agree with Cov. jr .. T1 is priceless brilliance .. it was the birth place for the Terminator ethos .. I loved T1 .. cos it introduced the most amazing future/past twist .. which all the other movies have been established on ..

but all the T movies are brilliant .. I loved T3 too!! i wasnt sure it would be as good .. but hellfire i was wrong .. it was awesome!!

I haven't seen the third one and am kinda waffle-ing on doing so.
I fell in love with the first one and enjoyed the second one though I agree a lot of action and awesome FX but the plot was somewhat thin...though the extended-directors cut does help fill in a lot of those holes of the second.

My question has always been since watching the first one... what would've been the secondary protocol/mission parameters of the original terminator (or hell even the t-1000) had they succeeded.
If Kyle Reese had failed in stopping the first terminator and Sarah Connor was another statistic laying on the slab at the county morgue with a hollow skull, then what would been the secondary mission of the first terminator have been?
It obviously would'nt have been just to stand around and wait for Skynet to meet it's destiny.
Would've it have gone to Cyberdyne Systems and assisted in the creation of Skynet sooner? Would've the first (or second) terminator gone to Myles Dyson in private saying "here pull the chip from my head" knowing that it was a fully functional/pristine chip thus the date of the rise of the machines would've been changed?

I'm glad that they didn't go all out and try to send Terminators to kill Sarah's parents or grandparents or crap like that. It seems logical that John Connor would've been born anyway regardless.

I love the Terminator films, but like any story with time travel, the plot flaws are numerous and humorous.

Why didn't they send back a group of Terminators? Which could have then split up and succeeded for sure?

Why didn't they just keep sending back Terminators to avoid the mistakes of the previous Terminators?

As previously mentioned, why not go further back in time and knock off Sarah Connor when she was a kid? Or kill her parents?

To enjoy this stuff, you have to just forget the big picture and ignore the incredible ineptitude of beings capable of producing such extraordinary androids and developing time travel, even though they can't master basic military strategy and primitive espionage.

The third one definetly. Mainly because it ties the other films together and actually progresses the storyline, instead of leading into the "Terminators going back in time" loop.

Edward Furlong?! He da Kid! The one the whole exercise is about. Future famous world leader, savior of the human race, all that kind of thing.

You can see John Conner growing into his destiny before your very eyes, without for one moment being anything but a kid. Furlong was one of the most natural early talents I've ever seen.
