Man + woman singing in the same song
*shrug* I wasn't sure how else to describe it!
Man+woman singing in the same song. I've posted most of these links before (probably countless times sorry!) but I've just added it up that there's something about a man and a woman singing in the same song (especially when they harmonise), that just does it for me!
The Pixies ‘Gigantic’
Tunng ‘Hustle’
The Pastels ‘Sittin’ Pretty’
Stars ‘Take Me To the Riot’
The Sugarcubes ‘Delicious Demon’
Ultra Vivid scene ‘Special One’
Phillip Boa & The Voodoo Club ‘Container Love’
The Decemberists ‘The Wanting Comes in Waves / Repaid’
More examples please - I can nearly guarantee that I'm going to love it!

Maria Breon (of Holyhell) and Eric Adams (of Manowar) doing The Phantom of the Opera...Holyhell playing the music.
My personal favorite...ever.

Relatively unknown Hungarian outfit Without Face, probably best described as Gothic/Progressive metal. Love this album!

You can't forget this beautiful song by Ozzy and Lita Ford, that, I think, was in Interview with a Vampire Close My Eyes Forever
Stevie Nicks did Leather and Lace with Henley and Needles and Pins with Petty--and probably a bunch with Buckingham. I'm sure a few Slick/Balsam Jefferson Airplane songs rate too...
And there's always the "Chips Ahoy" commercial that Jenn and I sang at karaoke night at Seafest in Denver: Human League

The song is six years older than the movie so I doubt it was in there.danlo wrote:You can't forget this beautiful song by Ozzy and Lita Ford, that, I think, was in Interview with a Vampire Close My Eyes Forever
Another classic:
Motörhead and Girlschool perform "Please Don't Touch"

or Motörhead with Wendy O'Williams "Stand by Your Man"

And another wonderful one:
"Go to Sleep" by Kat Bjelland (Babes in Toyland) featuring the late and great Peter Steele (Type O Negative). It's from the "Witchblade" soundtrack and it seems fitting that my 1,000s post in here is related to my favorite artist.

No, you're right that song's not on the Interview With a Vampire soundtrack, sounds like it should be, tho--I think somebody on one of the submitted versions of Close My Eyes Forever used a photo of Pitt's character-that's where I, probably, got that from...Almost all the songs on that soundtrack are classical but, interestingly enough: Sympathy for the Devil -Guns N' Roses covering- is listed at the very end...

Los Campesinos! 'We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives'
And an old classic:
The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl 'Fairytale of New York'

I'm going through a Nick Cave phase at the moment
Henry Lee with PJ Harvey is hot hot hot!!
And while on the Nick Cave bandwagon, another one with Kylie Minogue:
Where the wild roses grow

it may not be a particularly cool to admit, but I was always partial to the Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks/Christine McVie combinations
To try to regain some hipster cred, I'll also nominate David Longstreth and his 3 waif-y singers (particularly the incredibly talented Amber Coffman) from the Dirty Projectors ..
