What songs really move you?

There are SO many! What's your latest favourite moving, heart-wrenching, uplifting, brilliant, light-hearted, heavy, soft, wonderful, brutal, epic, quirky, timeless etc etc song??

I could go on for EVER in a thread like this! Feel free to explain why you love your song so much, but that isn't necessary if you don't feel like it.

I'll start with David Bowie's Life on Mars. The thing I love about this song is a really really don't know why I love it so much! I can't explain it, it just brings an outpouring of emotion from me. Maybe it's the chord progression - I just don't know.

Must be Kettering by The Antlers. The haunting mood that builds to a shattering crescendo is just transcendant. The music sits so well with the lyrics which tell the tale of a hospice worker (at Sloane-Kettering Cancer) who falls in love with his terminal cancer patient. For anyone who has ever lost someone they loved dearly, put this on moderately loud in a darkened room and let all your remorse and regret just fall out of you.

P.S.
The link I give doesn't do the crescendo justice as it slightly mutes the volume. On the album, the crescendo leaps from the speakers.

"Isn't it a pity" is my favorite of his solo stuff.

Ashes to Ashes by Bowie has always had a major effect on my life for many reasons (aside from the fact my real name's Tom) but the only song that, for some reason, made me stop in my tracks and cry my eyes out was Birds.
