So is there a way to, um, hide avatars/signatures?

The other couple of forums I post on have an option that you can select so that people's avatars and signatures don't show up when you're looking at threads, which I've found kind of handy in the interests of subtlety. I couldn't see one on this forum but maybe I'm just being blind.
Not that I would be boarding from work or anything, oh no.

I don't think that you can hide them on these boards, no.
Speaking of avatars, that's a nice piece of Kate Beaton art you have there.

Weird...I thought there was an option, but there doesn't seem to be. Must be thinking of the Hangar.
A possible solution is just to tell your browser not to display images...

I prefer the "Become a Moderator, visit only the Forums you moderate, and delete all posts by the offending Avatars" method.
