The Cape

Watched the first two episodes of this series. Typical comic book story. Unlike Heroes it feels like reading a comic, not just some elements from comicdom.

So far it's good enough to keep me watching. Not sure if they will be able to keep that up though. Biggest dissappointment is Summer Glau. She's a great action chick that they are trying to make me the computer geek expert. Just doesn't feel like the right role for her.

Ooh, Summer. I'm always keen to check her out. She was a computer geek type in Dollhouse, and did it really well. Then again, she was an insane computer geek. Maybe abnormality is the key to getting the best from her...

There's some fun stuff about it.
Special effects aren't awe-inspiring tech, but are suitable to the milieu which I like.
I'm not finding the lead actor convincing, so far...but maybe he'll be better once we're past the "how'd he become a superhero? who's his friends, who's his enemies, who's his love interest" phase.
Sig-man, Libtard, Stupid piece of shit. change your text color to brown. Mr. Reliable, bullshit-slinging liarFucker-user.
the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

I never got into Dollhouse. From the previews it looked like all action so I missed her geek turn there.

And you're right she doesn't have to do action to be good, she just has to be suitably wierd. Like her guest turns in The 4400.

I missed the premiere, despite it being on twice. I just sorta forgot the first time, and the 2nd time I would have only been able to watch half of it. It falls in a good enough slot that I'll probably watch it from now on, though.

The best description of Dollhouse I can give you is 'not what you think it is'. And that applies even after you start watching it.

I watched a little bit of last night's episode (I was busy with ebay stuffs). Sorry, but I don't think even Summer Glau can save it. But, at least I can get my Firefly fix on with Adam Baldwin on at 8 (providing House is a rerun), Summer at 9, and Nathan Fillian at 10.
