We may have some downtime

I've made an IP address change that might impact KW as the DNS propagates through the ether.
For you non-geeks...I did something that might cause KW to disappear for a short while any time from now to the next day or so so if it goes bye-bye, don't stress - it will be back

Is that wise?
To take down the Watch the night before the Rapture?
You might cause a panic.
Because to me, when the Watch is down, it is the....... END OF THE WORLD......!

Don't you see, HLT? Jesus is rapturing the Watch in his campaign to make a hell of Earth before he ends the world!

I'd like that if only to see if Mallory posts are a positive or negative in God's eyes.
Sarge is either going up first or in for a slow roasting.

That's great, it starts with Mallorys, Comics and the Tank,
and Savor Dam - and Sarge is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself post,
board serves its own needs, dAN serves his own needs.
Feed it off lol speak,, grunt, no, strength,
The posters starts to clatter with fear fight down height.
Wire in a fire, representing new games, a government for hire and a gaming site.
Left of Luci and coming in a hurry with the Zombiac breathing down your neck.
Tank by Tank reporters baffled, trumped, Phantasm cropped.
Look at that low playing!
Fine, then.
Uh oh, overpost, population, common food, but it'll do.
Save yourself, serve yourself. Tank serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed Tolkien with the rapture and the revered and the left - right.
You vitriolic, patriotic, Stone, fight, bright light, Lorin pretty psyched.
It's the end of the Watch as we know it.
It's the end of the Watch as we know it.
It's the end of the Watch as we know it and I feel fine.
Six o'clock - Jenn's hour. Don't get caught in Av's towers.
Slash and burn, return, listen to Zeph churn.
Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood letting.
Every poster escalate. Menolly incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed. Uh-oh, this means no fear Tolkien.
Atomic steers clear! A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies.
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and Vain declines.
It's the end of the Watch as we know it.
It's the end of the Watch as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the Watch as we know it (It's time I had some time alone) and I feel fine.

It's the end of the Watch as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the Watch as we know it (It's time I had some time alone) and I feel fine.
The other night I dreamt of Danlo, continental drift divide. Mountains sit in a line
Aliantha. Waddley. Seareach and Linna.
Birthday party, Fist and Faith, Lord Foul, boom!
You Sindatur, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.
It's the end of the Watch as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)
It's the end of the Watch as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)

If Jesus is working the Rapture so hard in NZ you'd think he would have started at Christchurch not Wellington...

Any particular reason why you picked all women for this part?

ali - a nod to the weird sisters.

all in good fun of course.

No problem, Sarge. I have CDs of audiobooks of the
Pern series, but have never taken the time to listen to them. So,
my pronunciation may be totally not how McCaffrey pronounces it, but is how I hear it in my head:
"meh-
NAWL-lee"

I like this way of responding to that question...

Prettier than the way I had it in my head! ...I need to switch to this mental pronounciation!

It wouldn't surprise me if you and Linna both say it closer to McCaffrey's pronunciation. But again, right now I have no idea what that is. I have heard others say it "MEN-oh-ly." But until the first time I heard someone say that, decades after I first read the books, I never heard it that way myself.

MEN-oh-ly was how I heard it. but i shall work on meh-NAWL-lee. just in case.

Hmmm...
I admit I was one who formerly pronounced it with the accent on the first syllable. Then the family and I met her in RL (a year ago tomorrow...) and learned that how she said her Watch name.
I too have no idea how McCaffrey pronounced the name of the character she invented...but doesn't the Watcher have the right to stipulate how she pronounces the name she has chosen for herself, even if it differs from how all others pronounce it?
My RL surname is constantly mispronounced by those who do not know me, because it looks to them to be the same as another name they are used to saying. Do I give in and accept that pronunciation? Absolutely not. I pronounce it the way my father and his father (and so on) have always pronounced it.

It rings a bell, but I can't quite place it.
