When I returned home I received a call from my brother Shiidon who had originally given me my first copy of "Lord Foul's Bane."
He was keenly interested in what occurred, so I told him what SRD was like and what I said to him.
He was distressed, it seemed, that I had misrepresented him.
He did not, in fact, give me the book because he "hated it" and was creeped out by leprousy, having seen it first hand in Bengladesh.
He told me that he had, in fact, read the first four books to completion.
He said that he could not continue reading because he had been exposed to Leprousy at such a young age, knew it had a long incubation period, and could not handle being reminded that there was a small chance that he might, in fact, contract this disease himself.
He went on to ask how he could contact SRD (he actually asked me for his email) to correct this.
I told him about the GI, which is no longer in service, and suggest he register and post on KW himself.
He seemed quite dismissive of the idea, so on my brother's behalf, I'd like it if someone could pass on to the man my brother's misgivings about what I had said. I don't expect any such thing to happen, nor see why this would be necessary. Nonetheless, I present these corrections here for the record!
