Christian understandings of sin and relationship to God

Post by rusmeister »

Hi all!
I keep running into ideas of sin, some of which are of Protestant origin, some of which are not Christian at all, and I wanted to offer a fair treatment of one of the most common Protestant paradigms compared to the Orthodox paradigm. This is that "Steve the Builder" - a construction man on his work days, approaching 60 yrs old, I think:

It was comments by Vraith that led me to post this (thanks, Vraith! :) )
; I hope it offers a little clarity of what those Christians believe. Some Protestant Christians may say "We don't believe EXACTLY this" here and there someone may hold a doctrine that differs a bit. It's part of the problem of not being able to refer to authority in Protestantism, but it is not at all denigrating. I think he's really fair, and it describes my Baptist upbringing to a 'T'. He and Bill Gould were both ex-Baptist (or something like that) college grads, I believe.

It is a great use of chairs!!!
