What does steak mean?

Erm... you okay there? I guess I should have commented on this one last night too.

It's funny, but it also sorta made me cringe because it reminded me of one of the most godsawful customers I had when I was doing barista stuff at Borders.

This lady wanted a mocha without coffee.

I'm trying to explain to her that that would basically be hot chocolate.

She doesn't want hot chocolate. She immediately gets all nasty and condescending, because she has asked for this simple thing, and I am a complete moron who can't get a real job and she's gonna have me fired.

She just keeps going on and on and on and I'm ready to kick her out of the store, but I can't even get a word in edgewise. And somewhere in her tirade she says something about it needing to taste like coffee without having any coffee in it, and the other place does it no problem so what's our problem yadda yadda yadda rant rant rant...

And I realize she wants decaf.

Which somehow in her mind translates to de-coffee - no coffee.

Sorus, that reminds me of a sneaky tactic some people would try to use at Tim Horton's. They'd ask for a coffee with half hot chocolate, both of which are cheaper than a mocha. We'd charge those punks for a mocha and they'd get indignant...
