Lord Foul's Bane-- the ballet

Post by Lord Zombiac »

I was out getting stuff at our local and overpriced health food store when I saw a little girl get out of the ballet studio and a great idea hit me like a ton of bricks.
If I was able to obtain permission to have an authorized production, I could work with the local ballet theater and get a production at the Spencer Theater, this could be released on video for everyone to enjoy at home.
I'm particularly thinking the attack of the Urviles against the wraiths in Andelain could be beautifully produced and choreographed.

Hmmm...really dude...I'm not sold on it...what, so we have some ballet dancers dressed as wraiths (in white I assume) and some dressed in black (ur-viles) and they dance and the black ones "consume" the white ones...to Wagner, of course...while those of us in the "know" might think this is cool..I'm failing to see the attraction to a mainstream audience...oh but wait, SRD had never tried for a mainstream audience...carry on...

I'm seeing the wraiths in black and carrying torches. I, of course, would compose the music! I saw the Houston Ballet perform Dracula. They used piano music composed by Franz Liszt transposed to full orchestra. Me and my wife (at the time) bought $100 worth of black clothing at a goth boutique in Austin just for the performance. It was our last date before getting a divorce.
