I believe someone with Tumnus' goat feet would have kicked him in the gonads before he could do anything.

In the next chapter as Covenant crawls back to the village Reepicheep challenges him to a duel for honor's sake and wins the ring.
A little knowledge is still better than no knowledge.

Or perhaps the White Witch and Foul were best pals in the primary school for wee evil dark lords and ladies, and got both round fangirling Norse mythology...
