I've made numerous attempts to convert people over the years, all without success (my son was the closest to a win, wouldnt be surprised if he revisits the books when he is a little older).
Was listening to the audio tapes of the 1st chrons last year with my partner, I got held her attention by enlisting her to act out the spoken narrative while we listene, which was hilarious but ultimately fruitless - think we abandoned the story around Vespers ...
I was given cause to wonder just how much of the story she comprehended when she admitted she'd imagined the Lords and people of the Land weren't humans ..

They were human? I thought they were Fig Mens of Covenant's imagination. I guess that explains why I always had the urge to plop Prothal into a red wine reduction and serve warm. Now I just feel silly.SleeplessOne wrote:I was given cause to wonder just how much of the story she comprehended when she admitted she'd imagined the Lords and people of the Land weren't humans ..
Monsters, they eat
Your kind of meat
And they're moving as far as they can
And as fast as they can
