Badfinger

in my opinion the most underated bands in rock history. you know the hits, but they had tons of great material. had their record label (Warner Bros) not screwed them because their manager stole their money - you would know much more of their work.

I find the strongest point of the band was three strong writers. Ham was the emotional center of the band, Molland the straight ahead rocker and Evans an underated writer who contributed great songs. and on occassion , Gibbins the drummer produced some great material.

with a better business manager and guidance they would have been huge. the turned down 'It Don't Come Easy.' I would have loved to hear what they would have done with it.

Dan Matovina wrote what I consider the definite book on them:
Without You: The Tragic Story Of Badfinger

Dan also compiled/produced Pete Ham and Badfinger collections on cd.

here is some of their music, in chronological order...

Blodwyn(Ham)

Better Days(Molland)

Name of the Game(Ham)

Suitcase(Molland)

You're So Fine(Gibbins)

just a small sampling - many great songs i can not find on youtube. :(
Lenin, Marx
Marx, Lennon
Good Dog...
