Thank you, LF and Well Come, SD
It is with sadness that I bid farewell to my co-mod of The Summonsing, L-rd Foul. While I admit at first I was skeptical that newbies to the Watch would accept being welcomed by Fangthane, he made welcoming and directing those who dropped in here fun and accessible.
You will be missed, LF!
However, it is with pleasure that I welcome on board Savor Dam as the new co-mod of The Summonsing. While he is a paradox unto himself, I am sure he will take to modding with aplomb and grace.
Well Come, SD!

You can still grovel for me, Effaeldm. The only difference is that LF required it. I don't require it, I don't even encourage it...but if it makes you feel better, go for it.

Fear not, or rather fear, but in a different way. There may be some now who think they might be left alone and in peace. But the Power which upholds me has stood since the creation of Time. You are not going to be left without Despite. I claim it.
And I do congratulate Savor Dam on getting the power to instill order and moderation here. The nature of paradoxes is a curious subject itself, and to see order and moderation relying on a paradox may be an enlightening experience.

I was interested at first in the topic of dominance and submission and so, but then I see you were only being polite. No dedication! Maybe the dread poet can inspire you!Savor Dam wrote:You can still grovel for me, Effaeldm. The only difference is that LF required it. In other news, why is LF leaving?

SD, thanks for the proposition) I congratulate you on becoming a mod and I'm very glad you were chosen. Like I said, I'd really rather have three mods here. Or more.
The Perfect One, we'll see.
Ananda, the thing is not even that much about dominance and submission, though it can be interesting, of course)
But in this case, first of all, I would like LF not to leave. I fail to see how forcefully cutting yourself off from people does a lot of good to either of the sides. I understand life is life, and living it all here is not possible), and being here may be not always so easy. I had problems with being here several times and for many different reasons - the information and the people here (I even ended up in tears once), work, abrupt changes and problems in life - but I returned and I intend to do it again if something happens. To take a break might be reasonable, just why burn the bridges?
There's also a completely another thing about the feel of the Watch like the representation of the Land here, in this world, and I think it can only be different without Lord Foul, it detracts from the way it feels.

Sorry to hear that. :/ Seems like there's been an odd increase in drama lately(?). Some might have probably been avoided if people did not forget basic rules of politeness. Even if the net encourages a great degree of anonymity, we're still sensing, feeling human beings at the other end of the bitstream.Effaeldm wrote:I had problems with being here several times and for many different reasons - the information and the people here (I even ended up in tears once),
Also personally sad to see LF depart. :/ Many of his posts were hilarious, and I remember the argument about how to write down evil laughter saving an otherwise drab day.
Now I am wondering why I came to this thread. It seemed so promising!Effaeldm wrote:Ananda, the thing is not even that much about dominance and submission, though it can be interesting, of course)
And thank you, Dread-P. You will protect us from that mean Savor Dam!

I only just figured out his name the other day. However, it is with pleasure that I welcome on board Savor Dam as the new co-mod of The Summonsing. While he is a paradox unto himself...
(Or at least... if I figured it out earlier, I forgot it!)

Uncertain of cause behind his reasoning, but it had something to do with making a grand departure for his decade anniversary in October, which was pushed up for some reason by a thread in The Loresraat or The Close. I haven't read the thread, but apparently there is some kind of explanation for his departure there.MsMary wrote:In other news, why is LF leaving?
My understanding is LF is going to remain mod there, but not an active one. He said something along the lines of taking care of things if he is emailed or PM'd regarding them. Perhaps he'll post something to that effect.sgt.null wrote:so who is modding the Hall of Gifts?

Personally, I'm expecting a "just kidding! I'm not leaving!" post from LF any day now. Or a triumphant return. Or something.
Anyway, LF, thanks for your service, and welcome to SD.
