that last one is illustrated by my favorite comic book artist - John K Snyder III, as is this one that I want desperately.
it is a shame that First went out of business. I would love to seen who they had lined up to do which classics. with the success of Marvel's recent Wizard of Oz adaptation and DC's still-going-strong Fables, the market seems to be there.
my love for these goes back to grade school when my mom signed me up for a digest size Classics Illustrated that came via mail. I loved those things. and I ended becoming a fan of writers like Poe and Hawthorne because of it.
