We just finished up season 1. It's a decent show. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until halfway through that it had been cancelled after the first season. Netflicks and Hulu should warn you, damnit. But I'm glad I saw it, even if it's unfinished. The story is relatively complex and convoluted, which is one of the reasons it was cancelled, apparently. The first few episodes will jump back and forth through multiple timelines, sometimes three or four in a single episode.
It's a government conspiracy involving aliens. I thought of it as "24 meets Battlestar Galactica," though they never leave earth and the science fiction angle is downplayed. But the aliens themselves and the plots surrounding them are similar to the new and improved Cylons of the BSG reboot. For instance, the issue of infiltration into the human population, hybridization, us vs them, human origins, etc.

Yeah, I watched it back when it was on. It was... OK. Some of the characters had potential and the plot was mostly decent. Can't say I've thought about it since it was cancelled, though.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
