I'll give 1000 WGDs to whoever can answer all my riddles.

I am at the heart of every man;
That is what links men to the beasts.
To ignore me, flesh is reduced,
To embrace me makes men robust.
If I am appeased too often, it is no virtue.
Any gift will please me,
But angry will men be if given stone, wood or air.
What am I?

It's what makes us stand tall,
and gives us the right to make others bend low.
It is held by every law-maker, noble and brute,
and is yearned for by everyone, except the simple.
It comes in many forms,
Most of which are granted by the blade.
Yet it is tenuous and cannot be seen,
But may be felt.
What am I?

When wrong is done I am born.
I am there when people suffer.
I exist when pain is dealt.
I sit in the mind of every one cheated, galled or shamed,
And give reason for their violent or scheming actions.
I exist in Law but am called punishment.
When sated, I make you feel glorious,
And few feel remorse for their actions.
What am I?
