HI-new guy here.

Post by stockman1187 »

I have checked out this site numerous times as a visitor but thought I might enjoy some more direct contact with fellow SRD fans. Thank you for the effort of those that have created this site.

Nice castle in your avatar. Any story behind that?

Thank you for the welome! That is the Swallows Nest in Yalta on the Black Sea. I was in Crimea a few months back. Reminded me of something I might find in Mordant :)

Welcome to the Watch, stockman1187. Does this mean we can get some free 401K advice soon? :) We're always happy to see new people join in - it stirs the place up and good things begin to happen.

Thank you so much for all the kind "welcomes". Wayfriend-my stock advice is spotty at best. Though this year was spectacular.
In this case "stock" refers to custom woodworking, specifically rifle "stocks" and the 5 cows that wander my property and keep the grass mowed :)
Menolly-I am about 2.5 hours from D.C. in Midlothian, VA.

Welcome to the Site Stockman, as Avatar says, Go forth and post. Jump in anywhere, we don't have complainers about "This has been discussed to death...", so, have no fears of posting something you've always thought about but think it's probably already been discussed.

Oh, and if you do a reread, check out the Chapter Dissection threads, they are fantastic to read along with as you enjoy you reread, made me see many things as I hadn't thought of them before in prior reads

Greetings, stockman1187. So, are you sure about direct contact? I have a piece of the Illearth Stone conveniently close.

Been around Hile Troy and his Tank much again? My first thought was "Oh, Ninja Turtles!"
I have many names... and may play many roles

Hoping someone can explain-I have ateempted posting comments in some of the various forums but they are not there when I return to the forum. Do I need permission to be allowed to post?

Sometimes, some folks don't see their posts right away. Check an hour or so later, before you panic

The Think Tank Forum (Politics discussion), gets kinda ugly sometimes, so, that's a register sort of thing, so the Mods can enforce punishment of preventing posting if anyone gets too out of line for too long, and there may be another forum or two like that, but, mostly, you should be able to post anywhere once you register for an ID and log in.

What Forum did you have trouble with?

Like Sin said, you shouldn't have a problem in most cases.

Let us know which forums, and also if you get an error message when posting or something.

Since you can post here, you should be able to post anywhere that isn't a private forum, which will only be the 'Tank and the Watchy forums.
