Anyone?
I only started watching it with the finale of the first season, but I've seen all of season 2 so far.

Precisely. Season one establishes the premise with episodes that mostly stand on their own, but the latter part of the season (not just the last episode, but I recall it being only a few near the end of the season) starting to build the ongoing plot that has dominated the current season.

Well, the season finale wrapped up satisfactorily. Rumors on the Touch Facebook page is that Fox is canceling the show, and I can see it ending there alright. But Jake's epilog hints at more to come.
If the show returns, I'll miss Avram, though. He is what drew me to the show in the first place. But for me, that took on too much of a parallel to the Watchers from the t.v. series of Highlander. A shame.
