I'm the new guy!
Hey Kevins watch people. I just joined because I have become a fan of these novels... and have taken a look around this forum and it seems to have some pretty cool people on.
You know the first time I read the first chronicles of Thomas covenant I hated it so much.... I never wanted to read it again... im sure now that I wasn't emotionally prepared for them. I read them again in grade 10 and they became my favorites. Just past my last year of high school and want to get another complete reading done before he release of the last dark.. just wanted to join and have some col discussions about these great novels because I don't know anyone who has read them xD
also while typing my grammar and spelling are usually terrible... forgive me!
thanks or having me.. <3

Warm greetings Poliwrath, puncher of the unworthy.
Don't worry about your grammar and spelling. Many here struggle with these, but after a good public flogging, some light tar and feathering and a little skin flaying, they usually come good. Or die slow painful deaths. But mostly come good.
Ali will be along shortly to let you know the system of warnings that precede any violence.
Enjoy your stay and post away!

Greetings, Poliwrath. Is your grammar in such a condition due to you being the puncher of the unworthy you are and punching it for its unworthy condition till it gets really horrible, deserving the punching, thus forming a full circle?

Ah, looks like someone in a severe need of re-read - shouldn't you remember how well the Haruchai did when trying to fight my despite with their fists?Poliwrath wrote:I fight ur despite using my fists and then we will see whos grammar are better!

We welcome everyone warmly.
It is no fun at all to flagellate, dismember, insult, deride, despise,
or otherwise abuse folk until we can do it delicately, explore it at our leisure over extended time-frames.
Lord Foul is a peon addicted to instant gratification.
Notice, above, I said "we" and "our...."
That is because of "our" conversion repertoire...
By the time you realize that:
"Welcome to the Watch [insert name here]
Be Well Come, and True"
Translates into:
"mmmmmwwwwWAAA-HAH-HAH-HAaaaaahhhhhhh...."
in all known tongues, you will LIKE what you have become.
Look at me...I started out innocently typing a few words about healthsense and liking the books...and now I'm a Mod of a minor outlying Forum [but plans...I have plans...and ambitions...oh yes...]

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Heh. Vraith...you have no idea how much truth is submerged in your words.
Surely all recognize whose accustomed greeting you parrot. None know better than I what can come of innocently typing in a forum, getting drawn into a conversation with That One...emerging transformed and liking what one has become.
