28 DAYS LATER (spoilers)
ok, who liked this film? Personally I thought it was excelent and not just another zombie film. I especially like the bit with the soldiers where he goes kinda nuts. But it does have it's weaknesses; the ending was particularly bad compared to the rest of the film IMHO.

I watched 28 days later directly after watching Beowulf. The contrast was so stark that a soup commercial would have seemed like Citizen Kane. Having said that I thought the film was very good. I have always like the "last man on earth" concept and though that sentiment went by the wayside in the first few frames the gloom of the extinction of mankind was looming in the background throughout. It was icky and sticky in places but all in all rather tame considering some of the other zombie films I've seen. Very well done.

I think I went into it with too high of expectations, after the glowing reviews I'd heard. I thought the story was pretty good, but the action was filmed in that very annoying herky-jerky style.
And as already mentioned, the ending was fairly lame.

Yes, the beggining was really cool. I think they did the infected really well. They weren't like the lame normal zombies that come towards you dragging their feet across the ground and groaning, going just about fast enough to catch snail as long as the snail doesn't see it coming. I just loved the speed of the infected, no hesitation, they were like rabid animals it was great.

That film gave me nightmares! good stuff! The intro reminded me of day of the triffids. I didnt mind the ending, but what I'd like to know was the rest of the world infected? The military guys said infections were detected in France and America . . . so was the rest of the world taken out?

I liked the movie. The scene in the tunnel, when you hear the zombies coming is really scary. And the use of video and handheld camera hightens the feeling of reality. The concept is quite good that it is such a subjective movie told from the main character*s view. Not until the movie ends we actually know what has happened and the meaning of the title...

No it's called 28 days later because 28 days after the virus is released the guy wakes up in hospital. Further, the virus lasts forever because
Spoiler
at the end of the film, which was months after the start, the zombies were starving; they were still around, just dying of starvation.
