Hi I'm new to the forums. Read the first TC books back in high school and they really hooked my interest in fantasy. I actually read The One Tree first cause it was a gift from a friend. This time I read them all in order. I don't have the best memory so it was fun to find out what I remembered accurately and what I didn't.
Just reading the last chronicles but can't find The Last Dark on kindle which i think is kinda weird. I read everything on my kindle now it's just so much easier than print books.
I'll be looking for something else good to read soon. Love Brandon Sanderson can't wait till he gets more books out.

Hi CynBlue,
Welcome to the Watch!
Lots to do here. If you have already finished The Last Dark you may want to join the forum for discussing it. There's lots more SRD-related stuff, discussions of his other works, arrangements for the next Elohimfest etc. There're also forums (fora ) for music, film, literature, comics, sport, politics etc.
If you need recommendations for what to read next the Watch is one of the best places to ask. Some people here seem to have read absolutely everything (and still managed to have busy RLs ) This thread is a great place to find out what people are reading and to ask for suggestions for what to read next. (We also have a Watch fantasy/sci-fi book club.)
I hope you find some useful things here.
Be Welcome and True!

Welcome to the Watch, CynBlue!
Amazon does have a Kindle version of TLD, I assure you. Why it is currently not available, I cannot say, but it has been offered and bought before. Check again soon and it will probably be back.
May you thrive here...and contribute.
(Menolly, I won't speculate on what motives u. may have. Welcoming new members is a courtesy that is like a drink from a mountain stream. However, if you should happen to be right...well, as you have heard Dam-sel and me tell Dam-et, "It's OK to want...")

P.S. I have no designs on SD's job. I like to welcome people when there seems to be no one else around, but I'd hate it to become a chore. SD and Menolly maintain a courteous grace that I would find hard to match and even harder to sustain. Long may you both be the official Welcome of the Watch!

So, does this mean you haven't read other SRD's books?CynBlue wrote:Read the first TC books back in high school and they really hooked my interest in fantasy.

EXACTLY. Like meeting celebrities, even, when you're sure you know them from following their work but they don't have the slightest idea who in the world you are.Avatar wrote:It's always sorta weird when that happens. You feel like you know everybody, but nobody knows you.
I appreciate the welcome from you and others, Avatar, and wanted to pass the good feeling on.
(One of the features I like about this site is that we can click on the "Good Posting" button whenever we want to thank somebody. If it weren't for that, I'd end up making many posts and taking up too much space--that people would have to scroll through--just saying, "Thank you...Thank you..." It's nice that I don't have to do it that way, as I'm a most thankful person, and can get carried away with that sort of thing very easily.)
But it's better not to use just that button alone if it's about an artwork or a fanfiction, the artists and the writers get little attention here often - it's much preferable to state what you think of their works in actual words.
