(Mis)cast the Gap

Post by Loredoctor »

We've had miscast TCTC, so let's miscast the gap.

Reg (of the BBC series 'the Bill') as Nick Succorso.
Richard Branson as Holt Fasner
Michael Palin as Marc Vestabule
Dawn French as Morn
Leonardo DiCaprio as Hashi

Ok, Michael Palin as Sixten Vertigus. How about Colin Firth as Holt Fasner?

Morn: Minnie Pearl
Hashi: Roland-whatever the Mr. Bean guy's name is-Dahl?
Sixten Vertigus: William Shatner (actually he is beginning to resemble him)
Angus: Nathan Lane
Davies: Bronson Pinchot
Min: China (of fake wrestling fame)
Holt: the late Chris Farley
his mom: Kathrine Helmond (w/face streched out-ala Brazil)
Nick: Carrottop
Dios: Burt Reynolds
The Bill: Marlon Brando
Dolph Ubekwe: Damon Waynas
Marc: Steve Bushemi (almost looks like an alien! :P)
Milos: Macahly Culkin
Pup: Bruce Willis
Sorus: Adam Rickman (just 4 u YK! :D )
Vector: Abu-the Kwik-e-Mart guy on the Simpsons

ROFL Burt Reynolds as Dios!
Oh Mr. Bean is played by Rowan Atkinson

I'd pick Alan Alda for Angus
Jenny McCarthy for Morn
Woody Allen for Nick
Wierd Al Yankovic for Holt?

A. Because proper tea is theft.

I reckon Wayne Knight, Christopher Walken and either Ving Rhames or CZJ. I was trying to think like a Hollywood executive, and they can't be wrong all of the time

Casting The Gap Movie

Post by DirectorDios »

I do not doubt for a moment that The Gap would make an incredibly good movie - I know we've all got our own ideas about who should play what character...that's the beauty of books, your mind cast whoever seems right to you. As for me? My cast list is below. The only limitation I placed on myself was that the actor had to be living.

Angus - Harvey Keitel or John Goodman
Milos - ????? - Any suggestions? Remember, he's clean & heavy-set
Morn - Heather Graham
Nick - Pierce Brosnon
Mikka - Linda Hamilton
Holt - Christopher Walken
Hashi - Dustin Hoffman
Dolph - James Earl Jones
Min Donner - Sigourney Weaver
Koina - Tia Carrera
Sorus - Isabella Rossellini
The Bill - Steve Buscemi

Likewise, I think this one is bad enough to belong in here. *shudder*

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

...right next to the earlier suggestion of Alan Rickman. 8O :x

(Which I actually found quite amusing, but I should at least pretend to be offended..)
