The wonderful thing about Siri, Cortana, and other interactive assistants / sidekicks (let's call them by the right name: chatterbots) is that they reside in portable devices like phones.

Wordplay aside, this was a great article. I have no problem imagining either Beorn or Dam-et conducting Gus-like discussions with Siri. Heck, I remember doing the same thing with Eliza programs back in the day.
