The Land - An observation

Post by Vain »

I noticed something today - if you use your imagination just a tad, and you look at the outlines of the forests/mountains on the map of the land, they almost seem to mimic the continents of earth.

Anybody else see this?

You know, I read TCTC first and more than once before I ever read The Lord of The Rings, so I always picture Middles Earth like the Land. I think they are quite similar but I still picture the Land more than Middle Earth.

You know like Lord Foul's domain (can't remember the name) is in the south east corner of the map. - Sauron's domain is in the south east corner of the Middle Earth map. There is a mountain range down the center of both maps. etc, etc., I think there is probably more similarities but I would have to get both maps out and look at them side by side...I'm just going off of memory and my impressions.

Any thoughts? Do you think SRD aped Tolkien?

Middle-earth is much larger then the Land, and more advanced, as in more places etc. I...dont think I see the Earth in the Land... :?
