Yet Another Newbie

Post by Rhebeqah »

Heya! I'm Rhebeqah. I first read the Chronicles back in the early '80s, starting with "The Illearth War", and have read the First and Second several times. Recently bought and read the Last Chronicles and am planning a re-read of the entire Chronicles at some point. Very glad to have found Kevin's Watch and pleased to be here.

Hello Rhebeqah! Welcome to the Watch.
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

Stone and Sea, another human materializing in the Land. Tervetuloa.

How did you embrace the Third Chronicles? A wee bit different from the six first tomes.

The Last Chronicles are quite different from their predecessors in style. They seem less intense and less densely written. I will be able to give a more considered opinion after a reread.

Hi Rebequeh! Glad you took my advice!

Don't be shy, join in ongoing threads, resuscitate old ones, start new ones. And when you've had your fill of SRD-related material check out the other stuff we do really well here: General Sci-fi and Fantasy, writing and literature, philosophy and spirituality in The Close, politics and current affairs in the 'Tank, fun and games in Mallory's, Science and Technology in the Loresraat, as well as sports, cooking, music, role-playing, comics and so on.

This is a really great place to come and talk about SRD's work and an even better place to stay and get to know the excellent people that that has drawn together.

Be Welcome and True!
