Ant-Man
I'm still not sure why they made a movie about a character very few non-comic readers have ever heard of. Maybe the Pym Particle is very important in Infinity? Anyway, exactly as expected. Fun, funny, not too much else. I had the same expectations for Guardians, but Guardians gave a lot more. But nice work on fights while shrinking & growing.

I'd rank it as one of the good Marvel films. Not the best, but still good. I expected it to be funnier after seeing other reactions, but it did still get some good laughs with the train scene.
Spoiler
I look forward to seeing Evangeline Lilly as Wasp in future films. And I notice they left a loophole open for Janet Van Dyne to return some day (quantum realm is without space and time!).

Yeah, I'm being a little too hard on it, expecting every Marvel movie to be an important part of Infinity, or at least Civil War. This doesn't scream that it will be either. But, of course, it easily could be, nonetheless.

Ant-Man was actually originally pitched back in the late 90s but nothing ever happened. A script was being developed and the character was supposed to be part of Phase 2 but things didn't happen in time for that so he attached to the end of Phase 2. Ant-Man is definitely going to be part of the Avengers, showing up in Civil War and, most likely, Infinity War 1 and 2.
Based on the second after-credit scene, the events which will culminate in Civil War have already started happening. Sadly, these events are things which we are never told during any of the existing films but for the backstory of the MCU they are canon. Ant-Man's happy-go-lucky world is about to get really gritty.
After the world-shattering events of Age of Ultron and the large-scale battles of Dark World and even Guardians, Ant-Man is just what Marvel needed--a movie to take things back down to a human level and make them personal again. Basically, we have these two guys who are in different parts of their lives but they are both trying to reconnect with their daughters. Superheroics aren't always about saving the entire world, you know.
Yes, they did an excellent job with the rapid shrink-punch-grow-punch effect.
The movie-based meme to come from Ant-Man: Baskin Robbins always finds out. Baskin Robbins don't play.
Re: Murrin's spoiler:
Minor goof: they forgot about the company's off-site disaster recovery location. The research still exists.

I expected her to show up, waiting there, and for the two of them to return together. Minor problem, though: she wouldn't have aged any--she would still be in her late 30s. Still...the possibility exists.
Yes, I am looking forward to Ms. Lilly's Wasp, as well.

For that matter, if they could pass off Luis as a security guard then Scott could have gotten into the building inside his shirt pocket or under his hat or a dozen other places. Failing that, he could have gone in Hope's purse--she's a board member so they cannot deny her access to the building.

Hashi,
Doc
Spoiler
Luis was body scanned. Had he been on his person, he would have been detected. But the gun seemingly was passed through without scanning as TSA does scan purses. I remember him being handed the gun from around the scanner, but perhaps I am missing something.

Agreed--most guns are physically checked rather than scanned. At that very small size, though, there would be several ways into the building that didn't require going through air vents or water lines. He could have made his way in via an electrical conduit or, ideally, he could have been inside the tank on the key chain.

I really liked Ant-Man, and was very happy with how they told Hank Pym's story. Like Null, I hated the comic's character assassination of him.
Spoiler
As for the 2nd after-credit scene, was that 3rd person Bucky?

Spoiler
The events which will culminate in Civil War have already begun behind the scenes. While trying to dig up his own past Winter Soldier stumbles onto some plot, I presume, while Cap and Falcon get involved because they are trying to track down the Soldier. The three of them cannot rely on Stark for help because, well, Winter Soldier is the one who killed Howard Stark. Tony and Cap may be friends and teammates but he won't tolerate anyone protecting his father's murderer. They need more help, which is why Falcon says "I know a guy", meaning Ant-Man.
Don't forget: Falcon and Ant-Man meet when Scott is trying to steal some technology he needs to save people's lives, which is exactly what Cap, Falcon, and Widow did in Winter Soldier when they recovered his flight suit. Coupled with the fact that Ant-Man actually beats Falcon and keeps saying "I'm sorry" lets Falcon know that he can probably trust this guy.

Man - you had to love the scene where Genius!
Spoiler
the guy shrunk his opponent with the pre-opperational tech and reduced him to a small red glob on the floor. Then proceeded to wipe him up in a kleenex and flush him down the pan!
