Just seen this story about east-end 'legends' the Kray twins, who ran a vicious protection and club empire in 1960's London and who, until their downfall robbed shoulders with the countries political and celebrity elite. Brutal as you'd expect the film does however show something of the twins more sensetive side and while the main role goes to Tom Hardy as Reggie, it is really the psychopatic Ronnie played by Tom Hardy who steals the show. Emily Browning is on top form as the innocent girl beguiled by the charismatic gangster Reggie, and whose descent into the hell of life as a 'moll' is well chartered amongst the films 'gangster stuff'.
All in all a fair couple of hours viewing, made all the more poignant for me in that for three years I lived deep in the heart of the Krays 'mannor', albeit some decade after they were detained at her majesties pleasure!
