Homecoming
Wow. This is a really good show. Don't be fooled into thinking it's a vanity piece for Roberts. It's NOT the story of a social worker with a heart of gold. It's one hell of a compelling and even scary story once it starts unfolding. It's like Mr. Robot in that it presents things before it explains things, except it's dialed back a notch such that everything remains plausible (from which the scary arises). I haven't finished the series, but the ah-ha moments are now rolling in, and I am hooked hard.

Hmm.... my explanation sort of assumed the reader already was familiar with the advertising. But for those who are not:
Homecoming follows Heidi Bergman, a former caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a special purpose live-in facility run by the Geist Group. The purpose of the facility is ostensibly to help soldiers transition to civilian life but the reason they need this help is unclear. Years after leaving the facility, Bergman has started a new life, living with her mother and working as a waitress. When a United States Department of Defense auditor inquires as to why she left Homecoming, Bergman quickly realizes that she had been misled and that the true purpose of the facility had been kept from her all along.
