Please do. Drives me up the wall on FB when I type ... well, anything, and it suggests a bunch of people I might want to tag.

I almost complained that my PMs only seemed to go up to 2020, but I think I actually haven't received a PM since then.

Noticed when I edited my old bookmark, kevinswatch.com/phpBB3 works but kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB3 does not.
Not to be too critical, as I expect there's work being done toward reskinning the new forum eventually, but it's weird how phpBB3 tries so hard to be shiny and new and ends up looking so much more dated than the basic look of old phpBB2, which was more plain text and block colours, less animation, rounded edges, and shading.

Yep, the new forum is on the main .com and not on the old ihugny domain. We'll have redirects in place before too long. And we'll get around to re-skinning it.I'm Murrin wrote: ↑ Noticed when I edited my old bookmark, kevinswatch.com/phpBB3 works but kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB3 does not.

Wow! Great work Av and Vain!
Thanks for reminding me about saving my avatar. Wouldn't want to lose this old thing.
I did my small minor part in simply changing stuff to the www.kevinswatch.com domain that Av and Vain told me to do, haha.
The Watch has finally entered the 2010's of the internet! Hahaha.
Look forward to exploring more!

I did not save my avatar, but the forum seems to be offering up everyone's old avatars on the page where you select one anyway.

Yeah, I think Vain just copied the whole folder of avatars which included the uploaded ones. Nice though.

Maybe it’s been a while but I don’t remember it being all that bad ~ maybe ~ but at least we’ve never had to deal with ads and unwanted marketing & spam.Fist and Faith wrote: ↑Goes to show you what we've been putting up with.I'm Murrin wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 10:05 pm Very funny to me that phpBB3 is the shiny new board, since it's like, 15+ years old.![]()
I know we’ve had a few people pull it on .. but it’s kind of the beauty of these kinds of boards ~ they have to really work for it and can be deleted and blocked.

I hope we can get the banner back.
And change the color scheme. I feel like I'm doing code reviews in BitBucket.
Something warm and green and gold, maybe. .... white gold.

I do miss the Ranyhyn under my avatar.
(That's only natural for me, being a Raman and all.)

Ruhyn misses you, too. Alas, the distance between is ... vast. But fear not, loyal Cord. In time.

Perhaps not the best option, as users are now offered a mess of hundreds of avatars all of which were already used by other people - including some actual photos of members. Might be good for now until most regulars have their profiles set back up but don't think it's something to leave up for every new member.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to start handing out counterfeit Ranyhyn!

Yeah, no worries, it's just temporary. Cleaning up the gallery is on the list.I'm Murrin wrote: ↑ Perhaps not the best option, as users are now offered a mess of hundreds of avatars all of which were already used by other people - including some actual photos of members.
