Everything, Everywhere, All At Once
I mean it was funky ~ it was out there ~ fun and a great platform for diversity but …. so, so weird.
I’m not an arty person so it’s quite possible its overwhelming arty appeal was lost to me … I watched it, it was a lot, loved everyone in it ~ but … not a film I’d watch again in a hurry.

I wouldn't call it an "arty" film. Sure, there's a lot of weird, but that comes from the science fiction.
Almost everything that happens is related tightly to the plot. It's really not too distant from Dr Strange
and the Multiverse of Madness.

I really liked it.
This was my answer that I said to my wife who asked me tonight how it was, "Remember how the Dr Strange movie dealt with different realities and versions of people but the movie was pointless and totally sucked? The Everywhere movie had the same reality concept, but just kept going strong, didn't suck and was a heartfelt family movie at the end."

Although I have a questionable habit of automatically liking all things marvel universe, most stuff dc, almost all sci fi anything unless it’s really really bad lol

This movie made a lot more sense to me when I read they originally wrote it for Jackie Chan

I finally saw Everything Everywhere All at Once after months of anticipation. It did not disappoint. One of my favorite movies of all time. Hands down. Simply amazing.
I love the simple question at the core exploring nihilism. Joy's answer being, if life is meaningless, then just end everything. While Evelyn's answer is, if life is meaningless, then who cares? Enjoy the ride.

Wow!! I did not pick up on that distinction at all
But I DID watch it a 2nd time and I enjoyed it more the 2nd time found ~ I liked it well enough on first sitting but thought it was fun but weird, so, so weird.
I wish I’d got that distinction though cuz that is an amazing message.

Who knows, my Ph.D. is in engineering, not film interpretation. Haha. But that's what I got out of it at least, haha. Definitely a great movie! Glad it won so many oscars! Well deserved!
