With all of the controversy surrounding music downloading, I thought this was a pretty interesting idea. Musicians could bypass the record label by making their music available online at a fraction of the cost for the consumer. I don't know if it's feasible, but maybe it will convince those bands who oppose downloads to step up to the plate and make it work.
