hm, don't now if I'm right. Finarfin (or he's maybe the brother) and Maglor. Maglor I know for sure, at least.

Maedhros, who jumped into a fissure of lava with his, and Maglor, who threw his into the sea.

There are two possible answers, my son.

1. The Osgiliath-stone was the master palantír, bigger than any of the others; it was kept in the Dome of Stars, and was lost when the city of Osgiliath was sacked in the Kin-strife.

But the answer I think you're looking for is:

2. The stone kept at Elostirion in the Tower Hills looked directly over the Sea to the Undying Lands. Unlike the others, it could not be focused on places in Middle-earth. The Elostirion-stone was snaffled (by Gandalf I believe) when the Ringbearers and the last of the Noldor passed over Sea at the end of the Third Age.

Do I win a cookie?

If so, I'll carry on with a new question:

Who killed Thrór, King under the Mountain, grandfather of Thorin Oakenshield? (Bonus points for naming the famous event that happened because of that killing.)

Ah, your second answer was correct. :D

And to answer your question, Thror was killed at the gates of Khazad-Dum by Azog the Orc, and this lead to the War of Dwarves and Orcs, which was finally settled in the Battle of Azanulbizar when Dain Ironfoot killed Azog after Azog killed his father Nain.

She is most commonly known by the sindarin form of Alatariel, the name given to her by Celeborn, but what was Galadriel named by her mother and by he father?
