think it was Nahar, the horse of Orome, who named it. Might be wrong though.
Although the Tolkien mythos gives the possibility of Mearas being descended from Nahar (or perhaps the steeds of Feanor and his brothers). Mearas may have been descended from Nahar but, Nahar was not a Mearas (does that make sense).

Excellent guess, but not the answer I am looking for. :D

Ws it not the horse that killed the King of Rohan then ran wild before being tamed by the son of the dead king?

Paul is guessing the one that went down the chasm was Finarfin. He can't recall the one who threw it into the ocean in a fit of madness and despair.

Maedhros jumped into a fiery chasm with his, while Maglor threw his into the ocean. Close enough Warmark, your turn. :D

weelllll, as far as I can trace that nasty bit of lineage, I would have to say it was himself: Imrahil.

:?

Heh, Indeed thats correct.

Well done.
The answer :
Prince Imrahil's nephews Faramir and Boromir.
Boromir didn't have a wife, Faramir's wife is Eowyn.
Eowyn's brother is Eomer.
Eomer's wife is Lothiril, who was the daughter of Prince Imrahil.

Whew, glad my lunch hour was not in vain...

I have one that I don't have an answer for, though. I read somewhere that Saruman made a Ring of his own .... is this true and what's up with that? (sorry, not exactly a 'trivia' question since I don't know if there is an answer...)
