Oh my, I'm excited!

Post by Worm of Despite »

Here's why I'm excited, in a nutshell:

Since 1969, Crimson has gone through seven incarnations, with only founder Robert Fripp the one constant. In 1981, the hottest instrumental combo was without a doubt King Crimson, which consisted of Robert Fripp (guitar and devices), Adrian Belew (guitar, lead vocal), Bill Bruford (drums), and Tony-freaking-Levin (stick, bass guitar, support vocal). And now Levin is back in the band. The mighty Line-up Seven of King Crimson has formed, and the baddest mofo with a stick bass has returned! :R A virtuoso! Trained in classical and jazz! Fugnuts!

This means a new Crimson studio album, a new world tour. For a drooling Crimsophile like myself, this is the Second Coming.

I suppose 99.9% of you don't share the excitement, so use this thread for your own music-related excitements.

What Byrn said... also QOTSA are working on a new one.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
