Christopher Walken

Post by A Gunslinger »

I am a huge Walken fan, and am wondering if anyone else (and I suspect it will be so) on the board is as well. He has been great on SNL (the Continental, and Cowbell are great skits). My favorite movies or appearences by Walken are (no particualr order):

Dead Zone
Annie Hall (plays a bit role, but steals every scene he's in)
Pulp Fiction (ditto)
At Close Range (pure evil wrapped in easy charm)
Prophecy
"Weapon of Choice" (video by Fatboy Slim)
Deer Hunter
King of New York

You missed one of my favorites...

True Romance!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. That is a great scene, the first time you see it, you're wondering, who is going to die, and whats going to happen. Terrantino is a great writer, cheers.

I love everything he does add Homeboy with Mickey Rourke and New Rose Hotel with DaFoe to the list--surely there is a role for him in the Chrons? The Kemper? Foul? Sivit?

Don't forget Batman returns. He was one of the better things about that movie (and it's by far the best of the Batman movies).

I always liked his performance as the bad guy in A View To A Kill. :D
