SRD reading his own work on audiobook

Post by awalter »

One of my prized possessions is a copy of the old, single-cassette WHITE GOLD WIELDER audiobook on which Donaldson reads one chapter from the book. Now, anyone who has heard Donaldson at a book reading knows that he's one of those rare authors with a wonderful reading voice who sends you away from the experience just wishing you could hear an entire book read by him... The world of the Land is brought just that much more to life by the intense, authentic passion in his voice.

So, my question: does anyone know of other available recordings of Donaldson reading?

If there are none, he should certainly think about doing some. Or maybe he just doesn't know what a fantastic reading voice he has!

He does have a great reading voice. We have had this discussion elsewhere and I believe the answer is no. There is a photo somewhere in the gallery of another member's WGW record but it's the same thing you have...

My very greatest regret about being unable to attend Elohimfest is that the one question I most want to ask SRD cannot be answered otherwise than in person:

"Please demonstrate an authentic Haruchai accent."
Shared pain is lessened; shared joy is increased.

Along this line... Have there been any other SRD audiobooks at all, regardless of who does the reading? I haven't seen any besides WHITE GOLD WIELDER.

ive been wondering this, too...
Think on that, and be dismayed

What do you do to a man who has lost everything?

Give him back something broken
